Landaal Packaging Systems, a family owned and operated full-service packaging, fulfillment and P.O.P. display company, announced effective January 1, 2018, Robert B. Landaal became President. Robert replaces his Uncle, Stephen S. Landaal who celebrated 30 years of service in 2017. Robert will lead the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of Landaal Packaging Systems, which is a $40 million annual sales corporation with over 200 associates across three locations; Burton, Flint, and Bay City, MI. Robert’s executive team is comprised of cousins Steve Jr. and Jason Landaal, and brothers Matthew and Mark Landaal.
Robert, who was previously the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has been with the family business for 15 years. “My uncle has been an excellent mentor and has really put an enormous amount of time and effort to ensure that the transition into a 3rd generation family owned business would be a successful one”, shared Robert.
The succession of leadership was a carefully tailored process due to that fact that many family owned and operated businesses are unsuccessful after multi-generational leadership changes. “This is a celebration of a ten-year, third generation succession plan that puts in place a strong, disciplined leader that will continue the company’s success for future generations.”, stated Stephen Landaal Sr. “I will assume new responsibilities outside the day-to-day operations of Landaal Packaging Systems, with focus on managing family owned entities and pursuing additional revenue streams for the family enterprise.”
Landaal Packaging Systems’ mission is to be the best full-service provider of packaging products, supplies and services. Since 1959, they have helped customers solve their packaging problems with innovative ideas, uncompromising product quality and on-time delivery. As a family-owned business, they offer a tradition of consistent, reliable service to companies in the manufacturing and retail industries.
