Challenge: The customer had a full size electric scooter cart that needed the shipping container dimensions to be reduced in order to ship common carrier. They were concerned about the potential for increased damage due to the reduction in shipping carton.
Solution: Landaal Packaging Systems developed a shipping pack that fulfilled all of their requirements. The condensed pack had (3) corrugated inserts and the outside container was made from reinforced corrugated.

Challenge: Customer designed package was experiencing a very high damage rate. This resulted in dissatisfied consumers, increased replacement costs and wasted labor/materials.

Sustainable Packaging Case Study
Challenge: Our customer had initiated a sustainable packaging initiative. The objectives were to reduce plastic and polystyrene in their temperature controlled shipments.
Solution: Landaal Packaging Systems and our partner KTM designed a series of packs that held their temperature for 48 hours and eliminated the need for polystyrene shippers.

• Utilized materials that take thousands of years to decompose.
• Utilized materials that are not considered readily renewable.

• Utilizes materials that biodegrade in less than 180 days.

Sustainable Packaging Case Study
Challenge: The customer was utilizing their chemical product in a very remote area. The size of the jugs that they were using was causing an issue with excessive transportation and proper disposal.
Solution: Landaal Packaging Systems worked closely with the customer to develop a bag in the box container. This eliminated the space consumption, reduced transportation costs and was easier to recycle.
Results
• 66% less petroleum based product was used in manufacturing.
• Transportation cost was reduced by over 50%.
