An important update from the Landaal leadership team regarding COVID-19:
Dear Valued Customer,
The safety and health of our employees and our customers are always our utmost priority. In fact, happy customers and happy employees are deeply rooted in our core values, instilled since 1959.
Landaal Packaging is responding to the “Shelter In Place” Executive Order activated in the State of Michigan. On March 23, 2020, the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, issued Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19). This Executive Order requires the people of the State of Michigan to stay at home through April 13, 2020. Under the Executive Order, critical infrastructure companies and their workers described by the Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), in his guidance of March 19, 2020 on the COVID-19 response, essential businesses are permitted to operate and their employees to leave their home or place of residence and travel as necessary to perform their jobs as critical infrastructure workers.
Under the CISA Guidance, Landaal Packaging Systems and its employees at the Flint Packaging Division (Burton, MI) and Delta Containers Division (Bay City, MI) locations are considered “essential critical infrastructure.” Specifically, the CISA Guidance specifies that, within the Transportation and Logistics Sector, firms and their employees providing services that enable logistics operations, including cooling, storing, packaging, and distributing products for wholesale or retail sale or use are “essential critical infrastructure workers.”
Our operations at all our facilities are open and will continue to operate during this Executive Order period. Per Section 4 of Executive Order 2020-21 (COVID-19) we are minimizing our operations to the minimum level to ensure we can continue to meet our customer’s packaging and distribution needs. We are doing this to ensure the safety of our employees during this unprecedented time.
We are committed to transparency and open communication to our customers, employees, and suppliers. We will update you with new information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding, and continued business during these trying times.
The Landaal Family
